BEJING – British actor Christian Bale who was in the spotlight not so long ago for cussing out an employee who distracted his scene, got a taste of his own recipe when he wanted to visit the home of a Chinese activist.

On Friday, Bale who is in China for his newest film “The Flowers Of War”, wanted to visit the home of blind activist Chen Guangcheng but was told in no uncertain terms to ‘take a hike’.

Guancheng has been for more than one year under house arrest; a method used by Chinese government to “deactivate” dissidents.

The former Batman actor wanted to bring attention to Guancheng’s case and thus paid the advocate a visit. Guancheng was arrested four years ago for fighting for women’s rights in China.

The security men who guard Guancheng didn’t approve however and denied Bale access. Physical shuffle erupted. Even the CNN crew who accompanied Bale were stopped from continuing to film the encounter.
