Dr Murray Shares Jail With MJ In Law

LOS ANGELES – Conrad Murray, the doctor accused of ‘killing’ pop star Michael Jackson, sits in a jail cell next to a former Jackson brother in law.

James DeBarge, singer for the band El DeBarge, who sits in the cell next door to Dr. Conrad’s, was once Janet Jackson’s husband.

TMZ reports that DeBarge is behind bars for drug possession and ‘attack with a deadly weapon’.

Both Murray and DeBarge have been placed in an area referred to as Administrative Segregation. That’s a location in jail that is used to house famous individuals with the intend to keep them separate from the general jail crowd.

Reportedly, the two ran into each other in jail on Monday when they were both consulting their lawyer in the council room about the same time.

Spencer Vodnoy, lawyer for DeBarge said: “My client is very upset that he has been placed so close to Conrad Murray. Even though he wasn’t even married one year to Janet, he did see Michael as his brother”.

Considering the Los Angeles jail houses some 4,000 inmates stipulates are that the two were placed next to each other intentionally.
