Whitney Houston Did Not Drown In Bathtub

BEVERLY HILLS – A spokesperson for the Los Angeles Coroner, who examined Whitney Houston’s body, told the singer’s family, Whitney was already dead before she sank with her face under water in the bath tub in her hotel room.

More than likely Whitney died from a combination of alcohol, Xanax and other medicine, that person said.

The spokesperson further said that Whitney’s lungs weren’t filled with enough water to cause her to drown, indicating she was already dead before her head went under water.

According to TMZ.com did not Whitney’s hair dresser find the performer’s lifeless body, but her aunt Mary Jones, who had placed the dress Whitney was going to wear for the Clive Davis party that night, on her bed.

Jones left the room for about 30 minutes. When she returned and noticed Whitney was still in the bathroom, she went inside and found Houston, pulled her out from the tub and performed CPR on her.

In the meantime, Whitney’s family is concerned about her daughter, 18 year old Bobbi Christina, who allegedly the night before Whitney’s death fell asleep in a bathtub in the same hotel.

Reportedly, friends of Bobbi knocked on her hotel room door Friday evening. When she didn’t answer they called hotel security. A hotel employee opened the door to Bobbi’s room and that’s when they found the teen sleeping in the tub.

Since Whitney died, Bobbi has been admitted to a local hospital twice. At first it was thought she was taken there because she was hysterical over her mother’s death. Later it allegedly turned out she had been drinking and taking meds to forget her mother’s death.

The family fears she tried to attempt suicide.

The preliminary coroner report is not conclusive until the toxicology investigation has been completed. That will take about six weeks.

Whitney’s mom, Cissi, has already arranged for her daughter’s body to be taken to Atlanta, Georgia, Whitney’s home town. The coroner has released the body since no foul play is suspected in the singer’s death.
