Paula Abdul Forced To Sell Home

SHERMAN OAKS – Former American Idol judge Paula Abdul is selling her swank home in upscale Sherman Oaks in Los Angeles County, California.

Allegedly the once Lakers’ cheerleader can no longer afford to pay for the property since she agreed to settle a 2009 lawsuit for $900,000.

Abdul is putting her Mediterranean style 4,679 SQF two story mansion up for sale for the bargain price of only 1.9 million dollars.

The home sits on a quarter acre of land, has five bedroom, four and a half bathrooms, a modern large kitchen, pool and other amenities anyone sitting in the lap of luxury would require.

Abdul who at 44 was living life in the limelight has suddenly been on the down slide that began with her no longer being a judge on American Idol which was followed by her being fired as a panel judge from the X-Factor reality show.

In 2009 Paula was sued by Jill Kohl who claimed she fell over in the grounds of her Los Angeles home during taping of the former pop singer’s reality TV show ‘Hey Paula’.

On Thursday Abdul agreed to settle the lawsuit by paying Kohl a hefty 900,000 dollars. As part of the settlement, Kohl will also receive 100,000 dollars in damages from the company that made the show.

Although no one is saying that the lawsuit settlement and the lost of her job are the reasons behind Adbul selling her home, there is no doubt 2012 has started out rough for Paula Abdul.
