Unnerving Family Tragedy In Germany

BERLIN – A German family tormented with illnesses is the center of horrific events that left even the most seasoned police officer shaken up.

In a home in the town of Scheidegg, German police found two corpses. The bodies, identified only as the 80 year old mother and her 52 year old son, were in advantage stages of decomposition when discovered.

Authorities determined that the mother died of natural causes. Her son however, who family members confirmed, was severely mentally challenged, depended on his mom for food and died from starvation.

In the living room, police found the aged husband and father sitting in a chair completely unaware that his wife and son lay dead on the floor in the next room.

Further investigation brought to light that the man, also in his eighties, suffers from dementia and was completely unaware of what had occurred in his house.

The horrific incident came to light when family members informed local police they had been calling the residents and were continuously told by the husband that his wife and son were sleeping.
