HOLLYWOOD – Only a few days ago, close friends to Jessica Simpson uttered their concern the highly pregnant and overdue singer had still not delivered a baby.
Those worries are now over. Jessica Simpson gave birth to her first child earlier today.
The “Fashion Star” mentor and her fiance, Eric Johnson, welcomed their daughter Tuesday morning in Los Angeles.
In a post on her official website, Jessica confirmed the news:
“Eric and I are elated to announce the birth of our baby girl, Maxwell Drew Johnson. We are so grateful for the love, support and prayers we’ve received. This has been the greatest experience of our lives!!”
The baby weighed in at a 9 lbs. 13 ounces and measured 21¾ inches long.
