“Racist” Kutcher Removed From YouTube

PALO ALTO – A video commercial with actor Ashton Kutcher portraying several individuals has received a lot of criticism for being racist.

In the clip, Kutcher plays the part of an Indian man, a wood logger, a gay person and a Rastafarian, wearing corresponding outfits and displaying character trades apparently common to each persona.

Social sites highly criticized the infomercial for being racist forcing Popchips, the company that produced the footage, to pull the video from its channel.

A spokesperson for Popchips said that the videos are intended to “make people laugh”.

“It’s never been the intend to stereotype or insult cultures or races. That’s why we hope people will appreciate the videos at the same level as how we see them.”

Several other videos by Popchips also staring Ashton Kutcher are not being pulled from its network channel and remain accessible.
