Simon Cowell Denies Spat With Britney Spears

HOLLYWOOD – Simon Cowell told TMZ.com in a video flash that his newest America’s X Factor judge, Britney Spears did not run off because she was mad.

Reportedly, one contestant performed a portion of the diva’s newest single ‘Hold It Against Me’ that infuriated Spears enough to stand up from her judge chair and walk out.

“Not true,” according to Cowell who said, Britney got up to take a ‘pee break’.

“Every five to six songs we take a small break to go have a smoke or go to the toilet,” Simon told TMZ.

The reality-show multimillionaire added, that Demi Lavato, who is also a new judge on the show, was actually the one that got mad with the performance, not Britney.

A tweet by Spears seems to confirm Simon’s statement:

“I needed a little break. I am having lots of fun during the show.”
