Lady Gaga First Person To Reach 25 Mill Followers

NEW YORK – The flamboyant New York singer, Lady Gaga, with her ‘out of this world’ wardrobe, is the first person to have more than 25 million followers on Twitter.

“#25milliontweetymonsters wow! I am the happiest girl on earth today,” tweeted the 26 year old flesh wearing performer.

Trailing a not so distant second is Canadian heart throb Justin Bieber with 22.5 million followers, followed by Rihanna in third place with 19.7 loyal twitters following her every move.

Britney Spears Twitter followers jumped to 17.1 million since she joined the U.S. X Factor reality show as a judge. That’s enough to put her in fourth place of the top “Twitterers”.

For Lady Gaga, who has been under scrutiny lately because of her eccentric appearance and behavior and who was forced to cancel a show in Indonesia recently, having the #1 Twitter account validates the prolific performer is still #1 in the world as well.

The victory is especially sweet considering Jennifer Lopez was nominated as the ‘most influential’ celeb in 2011.
