First Tyler Now Lopez Turns Her Back On American Idol

HOLLYWOOD – On Thursday Steven Tyler announced he will no longer be a judge on the reality TV talent show American Idol. Today Jennifer Lopez said she too is walking away from the show.

42 year old Lopez said she wants to concentrate on other things than just American Idol and isn’t walking out because of money issues.

During an emotional telephone conversation with Ryan Seacrest, who hosts the show, Lopez told the radio jock “I was afraid of having this conversation with you”.

Lopez told Seacrest “I really feel I have to get back to other things I am doing right now. I could do ‘Idol’ for the rest of my life if it wasn’t that I have other things I need to attend to.”

Unlike Steven Tyler, the Aerosmith-front-man, J.Lo said she does not exclude the possibility of a comeback on the show as a mentor next year.
