OSLO – For the next two years, rap artist Snoop Dogg will have to contend touring the world without Norway as a stage for his talents.

The ‘godfather of rap’ was allegedly caught last month trying to enter the ‘clean’ nation with 8 grams of weed in his pocket.

Snoop Dogg doesn’t hide he is an avid weed smoker and can often be seen, including in his music videos, lighting ‘one’ up.

Snoop Dogg’s lawyer announced his client isn’t going to fight the punishment saying ‘he can live with the consequences’.

The rapper went to Norway to perform at the Hove Festival when he was arrested at the Kristiansand airport in Southern Norway, for carrying an illegal substance as well as having more cash on him than what is allowed to bring into Norway.

For Snoop Dogg, getting arrested over weed, is a normal part of his life.

From 2007 to 2010, Dogg wasn’t allowed to enter the U.K., for marijuana possession. During that time, he was also refused an Australian visa.

Earlier this year, Snoop Dogg was arrested in Texas after rangers found weed in his tour bus.

In addition to not being allowed into Norway for the next two years, Snoop Dogg must also pay $US7,800 in fines. He was allowed however to finish up his concert at the Hove Festival.
