LOS ANGELES – Old time crooner, Tony Martin, known for hit songs like ‘I Get Ideas’, ‘Begin The Beguine’ and ‘There’s No Tomorrow’ died on Friday. He was 98.
Martin had the most success with his singing career during the 30s and the 50s and was equally popular as Bing Crosby and Frank Sinatra.
His biggest hit “To Each His Own” sold more than a million copies.
The man with the baritone voice also acted in more than 25 movies, including ‘Kentucky Moonshine’, ‘Two Tickets To Broadway’ and ‘Meet Me In Las Vegas’.
Tony Martin was married twice. His first marriage was to singer Alice Faye. His second marriage was to actress Cyd Charisse, whom he stayed married to until she died in 2008.
Mr. Martin will be buried next to her in Los Angeles.
