LONDON – Singer Elton John, well known for his flamboyant costumes and performances, has not much good to say about equally ‘show boat’ singer Madonna.
In the Australian news show ‘Sunday Night’ Elton John bluntly stated that Madonna’s career is over, her latest tour is a flop and she looks like a “Christmas Stripper”.
Early on in the show Elton once again said how mean the material girl had been towards Lady Gaga and that she doesn’t have the right to critic other performers.
“Why is she such a nightmare? She couldn’t be a bigger bitch.”
According to John, if Madonna had only a little bit of common sense she would have made the record ‘Ray Of Light’ instead of given her dumb dance performance.
“She should have stayed a pop star and continue to make pop music; which she does beautifully. Instead she wanted to prove something. She looks damn like a Christmas Stripper. She was mean to Lady Gaga.”
Just recently Madonna attacked Lady Gaga saying her record “Born This Way” is a copy of Madonna’s 1989 hit “Express Yourself”.
“I thought what a beautiful cover. I even recognized the transition chords. I found it … fascinating,” Madonna said.
Elton John had already expressed his disappointment with the Material Girl earlier this year when he said she wouldn’t be singing ‘live’ during the super bowl but do an ‘excellent job lipping’ – referring to Madonna possibly lip-syncing on stage.
Elton John’s partner, David Furnish, doesn’t have nice things to say about Madonna either.
When her song ‘Masterpiece’ won the Golden Globe for best song instead of Elton’s ‘Gnomeo and Juliet’, Furnish wrote on Facebook:
“Desperate. Madonna best song??? F**k Off!!!”
Why is Elton John so against Madonna?
Maybe the fact that Lady Gaga is godmother to Elton John’s son, could have something to do with it.
