Amy Winehouse Ex-Husband In Coma

LONDON – Amy Winehouse’s ex-husband is fighting for his life after collapsing following an apparent drink and drug binge.

Blake Fielder-Civil, 30, who is currently in an induced coma and on life support at a hospital in Dewsbury, West Yorkshire because of multiple organs failure, was found choking in bed by his partner Sarah Aspin on Friday last week.

Fielder-Civil, a recovering drug addict, had gone out drinking with a friend the previous day and Ms Aspin, who is mother to his 15-month-old son, says she believes he might have taken an illicit substance.

“The doctors said they put him in a coma to help him and due to infection. I’m praying he’ll survive, but I’m having to prepare myself that he may never wake up,” said Ms Aspin who met Fielder-Civil in rehab three years ago.

The former music video assistant married Winehouse in 2007 and they divorced two years later. Winehouse died of alcohol poisoning in July 2011.
