Tom Cruise’s Cheap Divorce Settlement

HOLLYWOOD – Katie Holmes didn’t make out like a bandit after divorcing her husband Tom Cruise.

Court papers reveal the ‘Mission Impossible’ star is only obligated to pay child support for their 6 year old daughter Suri.

Still that amounts to $US400K per year out of Tom’s pocket in order to continue to provide the 6 year old with the life style she has grown accustomed to.

And Mr. Cruise will have to continue to dock down that money until his daughter turns sweet eighteen.

Other than that, Tom Cruise won’t have to part with one more cent of his $US250 million fortune. Katie Holmes signed a pre-nup before she married the actor in 2006 that entitles her to nothing, not even one single dime.

Katie Holmes, who was accused by media of marrying Tom for fame and fortune, always maintained she didn’t do it for the money.

Compared to other notorious Hollywood divorces, Tom Cruise ended up getting a ‘cheap’ divorce settlement.

Tom Cruise will have to foot the bill however for Suri’s medical expenses and her education in addition to child support.
