LONDON – An auction house in Stockport, U.K., will begin to sell Elvis Presley memorabilia next month. Among the items available is one of the king’s ‘dirty’ underpants.
The auction house expects to get $US15,600 for Elvis’ dirty laundry.
Reportedly, the king wore the light blue colored garment under the white jumper suit he had on during a 1977 performance, the same year he passed away.
Paul Fairweather, owner of the auction house, believes interest in the King’s shorts will be plentiful because it is exactly 35 years ago that he died.
Other items placed on the auction block with Elvis’ underpants are photos of his first Christmas at Graceland and his bible that he had since 1957 and in which he made numerous notations.
The bible will reportedly fetch $US37,500.
