Roger Moore: “She Broke My Guitar Over My Head”

HOLLYWOOD – Former James Bond actor Roger Moore reflected back on his first two marriages during a ‘Live Stories’ interview with Pierce Morgan.

Moore told Morgan the he was more (no pun intended) than once the ‘victim’ of ‘women madness’.

According to the former Mr. Templeton star, teapots and even his own guitar were flung to his head and at one time his entire wardrobe landed up in his bathtub.

Moore said that his first wife, Doorn van Steyn, had a love for crabs and throwing teapots.

“I was quietly relaxing in the sun in the backyard when I responded a bit sarcastic to something she’d said. When I stood up to take my pants off, a teapot came flying towards my head,” Moore tells Morgan.

“I said ‘that’s it, I am out of here!’”.

“She ran into the house and I could suddenly hear water running in the bathroom. I said to myself ‘What a cow, here I am about to leave her and she’s going to take a bath’”.

Moore continues his saga telling Pierce “But when I entered the bathroom I saw my entire wardrobe dumped in the tub. ‘Go ahead try leaving me now’, she said vindictively”.

According to the actor his marriage to wife number two, Dorothy Squires, didn’t fair much better.

“One day we had an argument, I remember it perfectly. To avoid confrontation, I use to pick away on my guitar. But that one day it went badly wrong,” Moore says.

“I was sitting at the edge of the table playing my guitar while she was making drama about something. Suddenly, as if in slow motion, I felt my guitar being pulled from my hands and saw her reappear above my head only to slam into my head.”

“She destroyed the guitar, what a temperament she had,” said Moore.

For Roger Moore four times is a charm however. After yet a third failed marriage to Luisa Mattiolo, the 84 year old is now happily married to Kristina ‘Kiki’ Tholstrup, a 71 year old socialite he’s been wed to since 2002.
