WASHINGTON – Once again, diva Madonna caused for an uproar between her fans during her Washington DC performance when she made a remark about President Barack Obama that didn’t rub some spectators the right way.

“There’s a black Muslim in the White House. That’s something, right?,” the pop diva told her audience.

Madonna already received a lot of criticism during her Paris, France tour when she showed a huge portrait of Marine Le Pen, a French right-wing politician and the president of the Front National, wearing a swastika on her forehead.

During her Washington DC performance she sang a song, gave a speech about Abraham Lincoln and Martin Luther King Jr., sang some more and then resorted to calling President Barack Obama a ‘black Muslim’.

One day after the event Madonna said her statement was meant as a joke.

“I know full well that Obama is not a Muslim, although there are plenty of people in this country who think otherwise. Even then, so what?”

She continued to defend herself saying:

“I just wanted to prove that a good man is a good man regardless of who he prays to. I couldn’t care less what religion Obama prefers and that shouldn’t bother other people in America either.”

Despite her explanation, negative feedback about her comment continues to flood the internet.
