Rihanna Is Most Successful Artist In Last 20 Years

HOLLYWOOD – She may be prolific, flamboyant, wild, arrogant, borderline crazy and downright rude but that potent mixture is what made singer Rihanna the most successful performer of the last twenty years.

Billboard nominated her as ‘Top Pop Artist’ of the past 20 years, making her the most successful artist since Billboard began publicizing the ‘Pop Songs’ hit list in October 1992.

She made the Pop Songs hit list a staggering 34 times; 21 times thereof she was listed in the top ten and 9 times she held the number one spot.

Solo artists have dominated the top 10 list for the past 20 years. Female singers by far out list male performers as ‘Top Pop Artist’.

Usher is the only male singer to get that distinction and Black Eyed Peas the only group.
