HOLLYWOOD – Seasoned movie and TV veteran actor Tom Hanks isn’t often caught with his foot in his mouth.

But during a Good Morning America interview on Friday morning Hanks over spoke when he dropped the ‘F’ bomb.

The 56 year old actor momentarily forgot that in the US cursing on Live TV isn’t allowed.

The whole affair started out innocently enough with host Elizabeth Vargas asking Hanks to say something with a British accent. The actor speaks with a British accent in his latest movie ‘Cloud Atlas’.

Without hesitation Tom Hanks uttered “I want people to f..cking ….”. Hanks quickly shut his mouth realizing what he had just said but the damage was done.

Hanks was more surprised by what he had just said than his host and in typical gentleman’s style, he apologized.

“I am really sorry! I have never done anything like this,” Hanks said. “I want to apologize to all the children that are watching right now.”

But all’s well that ends well and Tom Hanks concluded his interview speaking properly.
