Jessica Simpson In Tears Over Divorce

HOLLYWOOD – Singer/actress and new mom Jessica Simpson is devastated by her parents filing for a divorce, according to People magazine.

On Thursday, Simpson’s mom and dad announced they were calling it quits after being married 35 years.

Someone close to Jessica said: “Jessica is saddened but doing alright. She getting on with life.”

Rumors have it that the reason for the breakup is that Joe, Jessica’s dad, is gay and has a much younger male lover.

However, that gossip is not confirmed. A rep for the family said:

“”It is an amicable split and there is no third party involved. Any other related allegations are completely false. The family appreciates your respect for their privacy at this time.”
